Getting Started

Install the plugin, connect your key and run the first successful analysis without guessing what each screen is for.

What you need first

  • A WordPress site where you can install plugins.
  • An AudioLinter API key.
  • A post type where editors should be able to run analysis.
  • An audio file in your media library or on your local computer.

1. Install and activate the plugin

Upload the AudioLinter plugin ZIP through WordPress, activate it and open the AudioLinter settings page. If your site receives plugin updates through AudioLinter directly, keep the plugin updated there as well.

2. Add your API key

In the settings screen, paste your API key into the main license field and save. Once the connection succeeds, the plugin can show the active plan, daily usage and available workflow actions.

3. Choose where editors should use it

Activate the post types where the AudioLinter metabox should appear. Most teams start with posts or episode post types. You can also decide whether analysis should start automatically after a file is chosen.

4. Run the first analysis

Open a post, use the AudioLinter metabox and either upload a file from your computer or choose one from the WordPress media library. After the upload finishes, the plugin queues the cloud analysis and updates the status automatically.

5. Read the result

AudioLinter reports whether the file passed, failed or still needs review. Typical findings include loudness that is too high or too low, peaks that are too aggressive and dead air that should be checked before publishing.

What stays in your control

AudioLinter helps with analysis and can generate a repaired file, but it does not silently replace the original post audio. The publishing decision remains explicit, which keeps the workflow safer for editorial teams.
